2025 Canadian Amateur Registration

Updated: 2 days ago

To all DRC Members,

Below is the registration information for the CanAm this January. Detroit is already expecting over 10 members to attend this year and, as always, the more the merrier!

If you have not attended the CanAm before, this is the most "social" event on the Racquets calendar and is a great way to experience the Racquets community from across North America and the UK.

One does not have to sign up for tournament play to attend the lively social events. I highly encourage all interested members to sign up early as this tournament is known to sell out quickly.

Play!

A LETTER FROM THE MONTREAL RACKET CLUB

Gentlemen,

The Montreal Racket Club is delighted to invite you to participate in the 126th Canadian Amateur Championships on January 22-26, 2025.

Welcome back to Montreal for what will be one of the great rackets weekends of the season!

Matches for non-seeded players will begin on Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday play will begin at 8 am.  It is important that all players indicate their travel arrangements as accurately as possible on their entry form.

The social side of the weekend will kick off Thursday night with a Black-tie Stag Dinner followed by the customary stories and games of chance.

Friday evening we will host a special event at the club, with play continuing into the night. If last year is any indication this will be another barn burner.

Saturday – Enjoy Montreal’s famous smoked-meat for lunch while watching the Quarter Finals.  After the semi-final matches have been played we will sit down to the Steak and Magnum Stag Dinner followed by a night on the town!

The Rolland Cup (Canada vs USA) will be held Sunday 8-10 am. Eggs Benedict and a few championship cocktails will have you properly prepared for the finals.

Space is limited, so confirm your intentions early.  First come, first served!  Please fill out the attached registration form and return it to the MRC to confirm your spot.  You may also register online: click here.

Unless maximum capacity is reached earlier, entries will close January 8th.

Happy Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you in Montreal where a warm welcome awaits you!

President: Paul Beatty

Head Professional: Daniel Fisher

Tournament Chair: Charles Vennat
